Day 18

Dear Amazon,

It sure is a good thing you are holding onto all my money as a matter of policy. Otherwise the next 31 people who want a refund would really get screwed, instead of JUST ME. Good thing your looking out for all your buyers and NOT your sellers.

Total Owed to Me: $2236.45
Emails Requesting My Money: 18
Emails I have left to send you: 72

Day 17

Dear Amazon,

So far this month, I have written 4 Hardship and 1 Deferment letter. Do you know why I can't pay my bills? Because Amazon stole my money for 90 days because of Section 2. Thanks Amazon.

Total Owed to Me: $2236.45
Emails Requesting My Money: 17
Emails I have left to send you: 73

Day 16

Dear Amazon,

There was some guy who gave the wrong address, harassed me for a month, then put in a chargeback. Amazingly, you sided with me. I can honestly say, that in 3 months of having a seller account, this is the only this positive you ever did for me. Thanks. Now, If I could just get you to refund all the OTHER money you stole from me, I could finally stop emailing you like this.

Total Owed to Me: $2236.45
Emails Requesting My Money: 16
Emails I have left to send you: 74

Day 14

Dear Amazon,

I have been kicked off Amazon for several weeks now, however the POSITIVE FEEDBACK continues to come in. The only 2 negatives never bother to try and contact me. I have STILL never heard back from them. If you don't want to give small sellers a chance on your site, why do you even let them on in the first place?!?

I have been handing out refunds like candy.

Day 13

Dear Amazon,

I had noticed another seller on your system, who has nothing to do with me, was suffering from Amazon's amazing inability to do math. The user "Las Vegas Warehouse" has a 50% positive Feedback rating. However, he has two positives, and one neutral. Last time I checked, two positives, and a neutral, is not 50% positive. In FACT, even the neutral comment was irrelevant, in my opinion, and should not even be counted as a friggin' negative, which is what your system is clearly saying. However, you guys will just shut him down anyway, and steal his money, just like you did to me.

Day 12

Dear Amazon,

This morning my wife was fired from her job too. So, now we have absolutely no money coming in at all. Sadly, I am not making that up. I am responsible for a wife, baby, dog, two cats and four fish. I literally have less than $100 to my name. However, between the money your company stole, and the inventory I can't sell, I have $5000 of my savings tied up in the mess that is your company. I need the money I earned, I should not have to email you every day to get my money back.

Day 11

Dear Amazon,

After looking into filing Small Claims against your company, it appears you can get away with this because while you hold my money for 90 Days, it would take much longer for the case to ever be brought before a judge. At that point, you would have long since returned the money. However, the damages done in the meantime are devastating. If you don't want me as a seller, that's fine. However, you have no valid reason to hold onto all that money I earned. I want my money back.

Day 10

Dear Amazon,

Tonight we went out drinking with our friends. Sadly, they paid for us because Amazon needs to hold onto the money I earned for the next 80 days. I will be able to pay them back until sometime in August. Because, after all, look at how many of the people that have been screaming for refunds.

Actually, I must admit, I have been handing out refunds like candy. This way I can get the item back, then just resell it on eBay. Not that eBay is any better, it's just that they aren't treating me like a thief. Not this week, at least.

Day 9

Dear Amazon,

Today I needed to close two savings accounts so that I could collect enough money to pay for my car payment. Of course, I would not have had to do this, if it wasn't your policy to unnecessarily hold my money for 90 days.

But, again, since stealing my hard earned money is your policy, mine is to email you every single day so that you know, I am a real person with some real financial problems.

Did you know that this was my only source of income while I am unemployed?

Day 8

Dear Amazon,

Could you do me a favor and write a letter to Wachovia Dealer Services? My car payment is due, and I need for you to explain to them that I won't be able to pay for it on time because you need to hold $658.45 just in case MY customer wants a $30.00 refund. Because I am clearly a thief, and I can't handle refunds to my own customers, and Amazon needs to babysit my money for 90 days, while they collect the interest. I could do it myself, but it would so much more believable if you wrote it.

Day 3 Response

Greetings from Amazon.com.

Thank you for contacting us. The funds currently in your selling
account will be transferred to your bank account after the 90-day
period has expired, provided we do not receive charge backs or A-to-Z
Guarantee claims against your sales.

As you know, your account will be evaluated 90 days after the date of
your final sale.

Please contact us at payments-funds@amazon.com at that time, and we
will transfer your funds to your bank account.

Day 3

Dear Amazon,

Because holding my money is part of Section 2, that makes it morally OK? I can not put food on the table because of Section 2. If it is your policy to hold my funds for 90 days, then it is my policy to email you every single one of those days requesting my money back.

In fact, I think I will start a blog about it. I will forward the information about it when I set it up. I hope you will visit often. When I get a few good entries listed, I will notify www.consumerist.com and anyone else I can think of for media coverage. I think this will be fun.

Greetings from Amazon.com.

Thank you for contacting us. Due to the status of your account we are
reserving your funds in your Amazon selling account until we are sure
all items have shipped and no A-z Guarantee Claims are received
against your account. Your account will be evaluated 90 days after the
date of your final sale. Your funds will be disbursed to the bank
account on file after your 90 day review, minus any outstanding
chargebacks or A-z claims.

Per section 2 of the AMAZON SERVICES BUSINESS SOLUTIONS AGREEMENT:

"If we reasonably conclude based on information available to us that
your actions and/or performance in connection with the Agreement may
result in a significant number of customer disputes, chargebacks or
other claims, then we may, in our sole discretion, delay initiating
any remittances and withhold any payments to be made or that are
otherwise due to you under this Agreement for the shorter of: (a) a
period of ninety (90) days following the initial date of suspension;
or (b) completion of any investigation(s) regarding any Seller actions
and/or performance in connection with the Agreement."

Day 1

Dear Amazon,

I was really hoping that Amazon would care more for the sellers than eBay. I guess not. I say this because all you did was look at some blanket numbers, and not a situation. I am an excellent seller. You could easily see that my Positive Feedback isn't just 5 stars each, it is people actually thanking me for the good solid customer service I provide. If this email is not read, and my case is not reviewed by someone who is willing to look at my sales as a whole, then your entire system is flawed, and you are doing your sellers, and customers, an injustice.

1) This A-Z Claim was because of the customers SPAM filter and never saw my response. I did my part as a seller on the Amazon system. This is beyond my control.

2) I have some 100 orders, 10 feedback, and one negative. All you see is 10% bad feedback, not 99% satisfied customers. I tried to get more positive, but few bothered to respond. This is also beyond my control. The ones that did take the time, gave me five stars for my service. This should definitely count in my favor.

3) Last week I was sent an email about how I am not a good enough seller for you. This email was because ONE customer left negative feedback and she ever did email me. Then, after I responded, I never did hear from her then either. So, I honestly can't say what really happened. I could have gotten her to retract the negative if she had ever responded.

4) My first A-Z claim was someone over 70, and honestly did not know what he was doing. He also left two negative feedback that he retracted when it was explained what he had done. He did not wait long enough for the item to be returned and felt I was not going to help him. Again, customers that don't understand the system do not make me a bad seller.

5) If it took me 3 months to get 10 feedback, no way I could get 100 in a week before the next uninformed customer stepped in to complain next.

Can you see how long and detailed this message is? This is how I contact every ONE of my customers. Please do NOT make me another statistic. There is absolutely NOTHING else as a seller I can do for my customers. The ones that don't read the listings, are older, impatient, hardly speak English, or don't read their emails... these are the people that are hardest to reach out to. No matter how bad of a situation my customers have had, I have been there for each and every one of them, resolving their situations. Even if it is the Post Office, I still pick up the phone for them, and track the package, but I can only do that when they contact me first.

Please reconsider my standing in your community.
